RSR Celebrates 20 years of North West Railway Heritage
On 17th September 2005, Ribble Steam Railway opened it’s doors for the first time with a full passenger service to complement the newly completed museum building.
In September 2025, we’re celebrating the fantastic work of the volunteer workforce who have spent the last 25 years developing the site at Riversway into the attraction you see today – We’re combining this with our Autumn Steam Gala, where we’ll be steaming all our available locomotives, and operating a varied and extended timetable across the weekend.
We would love to welcome visitors old & new – and we would LOVE to see any members who have been involved in the site development over the years, including those from the various founding organisations which make up today’s Ribble Steam Railway.
