A new event to the Ribble Steam Calendar for 2025 – June 28th sees us celebrate Steampunk! We’re hoping to see so much colour and unique styles from Steampunk community members across the North West and beyond.
Our friends at the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust are running a limited shuttle service between Preston Bus Station, via the Railway Station to site from 10:00 until 16:00, every 30 minutes, to make your journey to the event a little easier!

Tickets include entrance to our wonderful museum and all day travel on the trains. We have a gift shop and a café serving drinks and light refreshments.
Goodbye to “Lionel”
The Locomotive rostered for the day is Grant Ritchie No.272, affectionately known by crews at RSR as “Lionel”.
28th June marks the last day in service for the characterful 0-4-0 before withdrawal at the end of the loco’s 10 year boiler certificate. so this will be the last opportunity for enthusiasts to ride behind the 131 year old locomotive for some time!
