DESCRIPTION:Come and meet The Gruffalo & The Gruffalo’s Child at intervals on Sunday 16th August throughout the day at Ribble Steam Railway! \nBegin your journey at Ribble Steam Railway & Museum\, where you will experience a steam train journey through the former Preston Docks which crosses the Ribble Estuary. The journey travels along the docks\, pauses at the end momentarily before setting back to the middle of the railway line where the locomotive will uncouple and run around to the other end. Be sure to look at the view as you cross the swing bridge over the harbour entrance. You will be on the train approximately 35 minutes with the remainder of your visit available to meet The Gruffalo & Gruffalo’s Child plus explore the museum\, it’s exhibits and children’s play area. \nEvery child will receive a complimentary storybook\, activity sheet\, crayon\, biscuit and juice to enjoy during the journey. \nWhen you return to the museum\, The Gruffalo & The Gruffalo’s Child will be waiting to meet families\, wave hello and pose for photos\, so don’t forget your camera! \nYour visit includes entry to the museum so be sure to look around the engine displays and museum. DESCRIPTION:Let Ribble Steam Railway & Museum bring even more happiness and entertainment to your seasonal celebrations. \nCreate warm and magical memories with one of our Santa Special Steam experiences. The perfect opportunity for a family get together\, sprinkled with a generous helping of festive fun\, excitement and laughter. \nSnuggle up with your loved ones in our traditionally steam-heated carriages. Please wrap up warm as sometimes this takes a while to heat up the carriages. Watch eyes light up as Father Christmas visits you in your seat to hand each child their very own Christmas gift. Light seasonal refreshments on the train are included and Mrs Ribble’s Tea Room will be open for extra drinks and goodies. \nTickets include access to our festively trimmed museum and there will be live music and you might even spot the odd elf or two! \nDon’t forget to bring your letters for Santa and post them in our special Santa Mail post box. \nSanta Trains will depart at the following times: \n\n\n\n\nTickets are non-refundable and changes may be made subject to an administration fee\, and subject to availability of suitable seats. No refunds will be made for cancellations or non-arrivals.Things You Need To Know\n• If you require wheelchair access please contact us prior to making your booking. \n• Please arrive around 15-30 minutes before the departure time of your booked train to ensure that you have time to board comfortably. \n• Ensure you check in at the desk on arrival. \n• There are no working toilets on the train so please make use of the facilities in the shop\, baby changing also available. You will be on the train for around 65 mins. \n• Prams can be left inside the museum\, at the top of the ramp near the platform\, as we don’t have room for them on the train. \n• If you need to know anything during your visit just ask on of our friendly members of staff who will be only too pleased to help you have a great day. \n• DOGS: Although we normally welcome your four legged friends\, as the Santa Specials are so busy and noisy we politely request that you leave your dogs at home on this occasion.
