The carriage was specifically built for Princess Alexandra\, wife of the future King Edward VII. \nOn Saturday 26th September – Autumn Gala Weekend – we will be serving refreshments in the Royal Saloon which will be stationary in Platform zero. \nIn the morning we will be serving Coffee & Cake. \nIn the afternoon we will be serving Alison’s Cream Tea. \nThe ticket price includes entrance to our wonderful museum\, cafe\, shop\, the supplement to dine in the Royal Saloon and unlimited travel in standard class accommodation on all other trains thorough out the day. As this is the Saturday of our Autumn Gala there will an intensive service with lots of engines in steam.
