Online Booking for Ribble Steam Railway Santa Specials
For the 2025 season, we’re trialling a new ticket provider, so we thought it worth sharing a few hints & tips to aid your booking process.
All passengers over 12 months old require a reserved seat. There are two main ticket types – Child & Adult
Child tickets are limited on each train to ensure Santa gets enough time to see all the children on the train, and all children between 12 months & 12 years should reserve a child ticket. Adult tickets are for anyone over the age of 13 travelling –
A small number of spaces are available for wheelchair passengers – but these will need to be booked directly with the railway
Once you have selected the correct number of Adult & Child Tickets, choose the time & date of your visit. You will then need to select seats for each ticket type. Once you have selected seats in the appropriate carriage for the adults in the party, it may be worth making a note, as you then need to select seats for the children in the party, so it’s good to keep your group together – Ensure you select a space on the train where you can all sit together.
Once all seat selections are made, you can start the checkout process.
At this point you will need to select a person type for each ticket holder – This will involve selecting “Adult” for all adult tickets, unless you’re travelling with an infant (then choose Adult & Infant)
For each child in your party, please ensure you select the correct gender & age group for the child, so an age appropriate present can be provided by Santa
Once all seats and passenger details are provided, the purchase details can be completed, and you should receive an email with your E-ticket – Ensure you keep hold of this in readiness for your visit
