Visit our fabulous museum then take a trip on one of the many steam trains running each day. Our Tea Room will also be open for drinks and light refreshments.
A varied timetable will be in operation throughout the day, which should feature our home fleet.
There’s even a new Fish & Chip Service to complete the day (see below)
The event will hopefully see the return of Hunslet 3155 “Walkden” return to service for the first time in a number of years
We will once again be operating short brake van rides aboard our Southern Region “Queen Mary” brake van from Platform 0 at Preston Riverside.
For a small supplement, you can ride behind a variety of locomotive combinations whilst they’re not operating the main full-line service.
Spaces on each shuttle will be limited, and include the opportunity to take in rarely accessed track at RSR, as the short journey takes you Westward from the station, towards the Preston Council Locomotive Shed, built as part of the Railway’s redevelopment in the 1980s.
All advertised locomotives are subject to availability
Tickets are all-day rover tickets.
