This versatile 0-4-0ST was built in 1928 for the North East Electricity Supply Company for Carville power station before subsequently being transferred to Dunston Power station before again being sold by the Central Electricity Generating Board in 1970.

The locomotive was initially preserved at Slaggyford Station on Alston Branch, before moving to the Tanfield Railway 1992.  The locomotive again moved to Ribble Steam Railway in 2021.

A full overhaul to operational condition is currently underway, and the locomotive chassis is in the railway’s workshop.
