This diminutive 0-4-0 Diesel Shunter was constructed in the middle of World War II in order to support the country’s war effort.

Originally working for the Ministry of Supply in Long Marston, the locomotive later spent many years heading a picnic train at the Eureka Children’s museum in Halifax, before being moved to Preston in September 2024.

The locomotive has not worked for many years, and an assessment will be made as to the extent of the works required before making a decision on next steps
